A New Musical Chapter: The Evolution of Rimauri
Dear friends (male and female) and supporters,
I have performed classical chamber music as well as more contemporary sounds such as Chill-out, World Music, New Age, Afro, Ambient, Indian classical music, Ethnic, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, and Electronic music.
Throughout this journey, my music has always reflected passion and experimentation, never adhering to a specific genre but allowing myself to be inspired by the moment's emotions.
In the 70s with Edizioni Ciclamino, I produced my first Long Playing on vinyl, called: Tuscan Castle in Country Seat, where I combined electronic music played with the Moog analog oscillator keyboard at the same time and then mixed it, to my piano.
I also used other instruments (my faithful Rickenbacker mod 325 Rosemorris electric guitar from 1968, the Fender Stratocaster, in addition to the electric bass, the drums, Celtic harp, African ethnic drums (open at the bottom), small Indian percussions, and Tibetan bells and drums) by learning to play wind instruments such as the oboe, flute, and clarinet.
I take this opportunity to remember and thank my two music teachers: the Orchestra director, Prof. Angelo Cavallaro, who taught me "Musical Composition" with the guitar and the Flute.
My dear friend Maestro Antonino Luciani taught me musical sound design and helped and taught me how to mix music on documentary videos. At that time, editing was "edited" by cutting the tapes with cutters, shortening them (or lengthening them), and reattaching them together. Maestro A. R. Luciani also taught me wind instruments such as the oboe and the clarinet, played on my music in the Long Playing "Atmosfere".
M˚ Antonino R. Luciani was also a researcher and I was very fascinated by listening to his theories: I spoke with him at length about the resonance of musical strings. This topic has fascinated me since I was a boy, and I remember the Maestro A.R. Luciani mentioned to me that there was a possibility that the right and left hemispheres of the human brain could synchronize together. He also asked me not to tell anyone about his sound research.
Today, I find myself at a turning point. After the pandemic and some personal and professional changes, I have decided to explore new ways to share my music while also staying creatively and professionally active. I have never aimed to make money from my music, but time and circumstances now lead me to consider this aspect.
I am currently working on remixes and reinterpretations of some of my pieces, particularly adding percussion and new sounds to previously lacking compositions. This shift does not signify a change in direction but rather a natural evolution of my artistic journey, allowing me to bring old tracks to life in exciting and innovative ways.
Rest assured, my original music will always be available, and I will continue to produce new works with the same authenticity as ever. I want to offer you the opportunity to discover different nuances of my creations.
For those of you who follow me on Spotify, YouTube, and other platforms, I invite you to stay tuned for these new releases. I would love to hear your feedback and know what you think about this new direction.
Thank you all for your continued support. Your presence and listening inspire me to keep creating and innovating.
Un Nuovo Capitolo Musicale: L'Evoluzione di Rimauri
Cari amici e amiche, sostenitori e sostenitrici,
A presto,
